The last thing I need is another car but fighting the temptation to go all in on this one at that price :headbang:

I must say it won’t be for sale much longer, we got another car incoming, I have a firm offer on a Quattro sport that I really want to keep, but if bm doesn’t shift I’ll flog the Audi, I’ll then run the coupe as the Mrs will run the incoming car.

It’s a good motor the coupe, I’m really getting fed up with the eBay lot, if it was up at £100 I’d be offered 50. It’s on pistonheads too.

That cars gone to the moon and back. If its been serviced to BMW schedules the engine will be knackered for sure. One of the guides I read before buying my Zed was that if you want the car to go on for high mileages it was essential to change the oil much more frequently than the BMW stated schedule. You could be buying a peach but then again you could be throwing away £4k.

Keep it. Few cars with so much character. And nicely run in.

If I was on a tight budget but desperate to get a Coupe I'd buy it at that price!

There was a thread recently about a Coupe that was for sale at BCA that had done 190K, so at 162K it's still got some life left in it.

My E91 325i has an N52 engine that runs just fine, and that's now on 137K.

GLWTS Needanothercoupe.

Cheers for all the nice comments, I’m fine with keeping it but do like my qs been honest actually prefer the qs on the garbage roads up t north, my Mrs drives the coupe and loves it but the incoming tts is the car she will drive but neither of us will be gloomy if the coupe stays, it’s a good car at a reasonable price.

And believe me mike6 that one is a peach, it’s a heavy heart now it’s going and would like to think I will get another z, who knows maybe I’ll still sell the Audi and get another z.

Well done pal glad you managed to get rid of it and the option to purchase has been taken away - was sorely tempted but Mrs would have gone mental

What would be the recommended frequency? I was going to change at 10k intervals.

I’d go for less than 10k, 7to 8k miles but that’s just me as it takes a long while to do 7 to 8 and it’s cheap enough to change oil regularly

Fairly sure it was the Parkers review or something in Autoexpress. The BMW intervals using long life oil were the absolute maximum and if you want to keep the car in healthy condition for high mileages 6 - 7k were quoted as recommended oil frequency changes. Personally my car doesnt cover large distances so I am changing the oil at about 3K miles which is a bit unnecesary but then oil degrades over time.
