Hope you get better soon Craig - horrid disease but at least the jabs have offered some protection even if you still feel pretty ill.

Get well soon

Thanks, and yes,the two Jabs I've had probably helping reduce its effects.
If I hadn't had the Vaccines i have had, Doctor said I would have been alot worse, and been kept in the Covid ward probably.
Who knows, but personally just glad I have had some vaccines

Nasty set of infections there Craig...chill and keep hydrated....NOT with single malt though...!!

Hope you improve over the next few days.

Thanks, John
Haha, can barely keep down water and toast without being very suck, let along Whiskey.

Anyway,I prefer Cider or Vodka
Looks like I will 7 to 10 days of meds before things are sorted or improved.
If not better by then,I have to get back to Hospital,or if things worsen.
Doctors and Nurses been very good, got taken right away on Arrival,no messing and someone was with me at all times.
Two rather nice Nurses it has to be said, lol.
Doctor was African, and knew his stuff,re Covid stuff and everything else, and called me last night after I was home,to see how I was, only hours after leaving there.
Can't praise them enough, unlike my local gp's,who are a nightmare even getting an appointment with, and who palmed me off with stomach meds or whatever, thinking ongoing illnesses were my IBS or hernia playing up!!

Obviously it wasn't, given what I know now.

How are you keeping these days John(pm me if you want)
Take care mate

All the best Craig and I hope it clears up soon . I used to get Bronchitis as a child and I am sure it leaves you more prone to being breathless when stuff like this happens much like yourself with your Asthma .

Cheers
Yeah, not the best things to have if you get Covid.

Thanks for all the replies, and to those I know from on here who have texted me.
It means alot, and keeps me from going stir crazy, in-between being sick and being stuck in bed.
Cheers all

That sounds like a horrible combination of issues all at once Craig. :(

At least you have finally got some decent medical attention and hopefully the meds will help you recover.

Take it easy,

Iain.

Bloody hell Craig! :o That's rough. Hope you make a full and swift recovery mate

Yeah,feeling lousy tbh mate.
It's the sickness coupled with everything else that I'm fighting is not making it any easier for me to get well.
Thanks for the thoughts, Simon

Wishing you a speedy and full recovery Craig.

It took me a while and Im still not quite right. Then again, my missus has always said Ive never been quite right!

Hope you are fighting fit long before the NC500 trip.

Hope the meds are working by now and your on the mend.

Strange how this thing effects people in so many different ways. My wife and I both not in the prime of life but reasonably healthy, had the original Wuhan strain caught in Thailand long before anyone really knew what we were dealing with. It floored her but all I thought I had was jet lag and no taste for 6 - 8 weeks. Both tested positive some months ago after being treble jabbed. She had cold like symptoms and felt a bit rough for a day or two, I had no symptoms at all.

Then you hear stories of folk a lot younger and fitter getting seriously ill. We still have a lot to learn about Covid that's for sure.

Hope it clears up soon Craig, sounds like a real hit on your health. Having asthma sounds like it would hit double hard in the lungs.
