Well… I have gone and done it.. in 48 hours I will have picked up a 2019 Z4M40i and can’t wait. It was a decision from the head ( and quite a lot of heart) between a Jaguar F type V6 and the Z4. I had the F-type 300P coupe in the past, but despite the love affair, traded it in for a Mini Cooper SE Electric.

Yes, I hear the scratching of heads. At the time and circumstances, it was a practical choice. The 2022 Mini (the ones built in Oxford ) is a super machine, and with ‘instant 200HP on tap is exhilarating to drive, and I am going to keep it for the shopping runs etc.

Now fully retired .. I missed the throaty roar of a 6 cylinder, so persuaded my better half to let me have a toy.

The F type is just drop dead beautiful..😻 (heart speaking) but since Jaguar decided to focus on their new concept .. the dealer / repair network in this part of France is very iffy. 🧐 So I was seduced by history with BMW 6 cylindere and by a lovely Z4 2019 model with 48000km and full of toys, and the assurance that BMW repair network is almost as common as McD.

This will be my 6th Beemer, and the second without a roof; the previous being a 330D cabriolet.

So, there we are …. I am really looking forward to learn and sharing on this Forum. I will give my first impressions soon. Although I am in Alsace France, you will. I doubt see me in Blighty as I make regular trips to see family ‘up north’ 😉
