45mpg! Fo realz??

Did a 104 mile trip today and got an indicated 45mpg doing mostly a very conservative 60-65mph on the motorway.
Sound about right? If real, i'm pretty happy as it compares with my old E36 323i coupe which was 'de-tuned for economy'.
(E85 3.0i manual, using cruise)

I've had that as well, it seemed to be more achievable on baking hot days 8)

I can also vouch for that. Ive had similar figures on the motorway, and on my commute I get roughly 38/39mpg.

I am quite sure if your mpg is that high?! Your driving the car wrong!! May I suggest you buy a diesel skoda?!?

Hahaha don't worry, was just a little experiment!
There's a time and a place for tomfoolery and when ur on the motorway and not particularly in a rush to get somewhere, why hoon it and waste fuel?
