Thought it was worth a quick update for future reference.
I currently have O.E. 437M’s fitted with standard M4 tire sizes, 255/35/19 & 275/35/19
It seems a number of forum users have these fitted without any rear rubbing issues, but after further testing I’m not sure how :?
Took car out yesterday for a more spirited test, and rear tires definitely rub the arch liner on outside on fast corners and depressions.
My car is a 20i with standard MSport suspension, I’m not sure if the track etc is different on the 35i/35is or possibly if lowering further impacts the camber angle to avoid this rub... but currently can’t see how this tire size works.
In addition, IMHO these tire sizes ‘over-tyre’ a mapped 4 pot turbo, might be justification on a 35i/35is.
I’m going to have new tires fitted this week
Though it was worth a separate post, as easy to get lost in the other wheels/tire threads
