Apologies if this has been covered before, I have searched but can’t find a definitive answer.
Will style 400m wheels fit the e85?
Any clearance issues with et34 on the front?
Thanks for looking and any replies

Hi Farmermo. I have MV3s on my Zed, the fronts being 18x8J ET34 with 225/40R18 tyres. Before I fitted new B4 shocks they rubbed on every high speed compression bump making nice little holes through the wheelarch liners at their outside edges, as indicated in the photo. Since fitting the B4s they haven't rubbed once. The car is on SE springs.

Thanks for that patriot66, I’ve got no plans for suspension upgrades at the moment, so I think I’ll wait for something more appropriate to pop up.

OP they ought to be OK.

I put a set of E89 wheels on my 2nd E86 that were 8J x 18 ET29 with 225/40 tyres on the front and didn't have any issues with rubbing on standard Sport suspension.

The rears would definitely be fine as they are 8.5J x 18ET47, and I had no problems with 8.5J x 18 ET40 rears.
