4 Wheel alignment question M Sport / SE alignment settings

I have a question regarding 4 wheel alignment , some of the Hunter alignment machines work by inputting your car make and model which loads in the alignment settings

If your Z4 is not an M sport model BUT you have picked M sport suspension option for the lower springs , I'm assuming you would have
to tell the alignment operator as the alignment will be different?

If he punches in your Reg it will come up with an SE model which may have different alignment settings ?

Does anyone know if there is a difference ?

Does anyone know what the OEM alignment settings are ?

:tumbleweed:

Ok lets make this easier  can anyone post up their alignment settings from a hunter machine ?

Let me google that for you :poke:

'Most dealers do not have alignment racks in house. They farm it out. In the NW we have a chain of tire stores Les Schwab that does great work.

According to my print out from them here are the specs.

"BMW - e89 sport suspension (includind VDC suspension/adaptive M suspension) 19" wheels". (2009-up)

Front:

Camber: -.1 to -1.1 degrees
Caster: 6.5 degrees (no range listed)
Toe: .02 deg to .22 deg
SAI: 14.2 deg
Included Angle: 13.6 deg

Rear:

Camber: -1.9 to -2.8 deg
Toe: .05 deg to .25 deg.

Those are listed as the factory recommended specs."

Obviously can't prove the numbers are right ......

Found this in BMW documentation a while ago it's not the full spec but confirms what gmetcalf said with the ideal values:
Front toe: 0.02’ to 0.22’ (0.12’)
Front camber: -0.1’ to -1.1’ (-0.6’)
Rear toe: 0.05’ to 0.25’ (0.15’)
Rear camber: -1.90’ to -2.80’ (-2.35’)
