You will not be disappointed, these really are virtually flawless original BMW alloys. I am selling to upgrade to larger aftermarket alloys.

Bid with confidence thanks to 100% trusted feedback and good luck

GLWTS :thumbsup:

Couple of questions:
  • Are they OEM Conti SportContact M3s, or have they been upgraded to Conti SportContact 3 or 5?
  • How old are the tyres? (there's a manufacturing date on the sidewall somewhere, that will say something like 0505 (week 5, 2005) or 4207 (week 42, 2007)
  • Are the tread depth measurements from the outside, inside, or middle of the tyre? As the M wears the inside faster than the outside, so the outside might have 4mm, but the inside might only have 1mm.

Thanks mmm-five

The wheels are OEM Conti SportContact M3's - what is the difference?
The whee age is 4306 so assume week 43 2006! around November 06
They have even wear to be honest, 4mm across the outer, middle and center.

Hope that helps!

If anyone is interested on this board by the way feel free to PM me

Thanks

Dino

The reason for the questions are:
  • A SportContact M3 is an older relative of the newer SportContact 3 and SportContact 5 tyres and doesn't have the same performance characteristics - nothing wrong with the SCM3 per se, just that it's old tyre tech;
  • Tyres go 'off' even if they're not used, so a part-worn, 7 year old 'premium' tyre will not perform as well as expected - accepted lifespan for a tyre is 5 years (each tyre ill have its own date stamp);
  • Wear question was just to see if you were measuring the 'optimistic' side of the tyre. :P
All of the questions were posed so that a potential purchaser could take the info into account when deciding whether they'll need to scrap the tyre and fit new ones, or whether the tyre has a few years/miles left in it.

Hi Dan.

The original buy it now price was set at £795 + postage.

Its got 30 watchers and is getting quite a lot of views so it would appear they are quite popular.

If someone wants to send me a sensible offer to take them off auction then PM me!
