Just picked up my third Z4, having had a 2.2 roadster E85, 3.0 coupe E86, and now a 3.0 E89. Shame the weather's so rubbish or I'd have had the hood down on the blast back home. First impressions are how much more stable, solid and "softer" the E89 feels. Feel very guilty having left my former pride and joy on a wet forecourt...

Took it to Norfolk on Christmas Eve and now looking a litle dirty. At least this gives me an excuse to clean it and then I'll post some pics, promise! Seems just as quick in a straight line as the E86, although I've gone for the auto this time round. E86 was much more darty and edgy with a much firmer ride although both were on 18's, and felt a lot lighter. Engine note seems deeper but less loud. Totally different driving experiences, but still very pleased
