You know Im gonna drop the nut inside the boot lid.. its just a plain and simple fact!! :?

No you won't. You'll be so fcussed on that, that you will slip and scratch the paint on the bootlid or tread on the new light that you neatly lay on the box ready to fit :poke: :headbang:

 and a combination of slipping with the spanner and taking the bark of my knuckles, which will then cause me to short the wiring somehow and set fire to the car.... Coz that's how i roll !!!

Well its sat on my desk.. taunting me.. "go outside in the rain john and fit me" .. Make the voices stop please!! :?

I need a new one but undecided on clear or red. Both the ends have broke off of mine.
Would clear look ok on a silver car??

I put a clear lens one on my Silver Z4 ...I think it looks much better !!

OK just noticed this is a 3 year old thread

...however I believe the new ones come with slightly less sprung springs because the originals were too stiff. If that makes sense :?

Perfect sense. Do they come with springs then? Or should I order one separately?

They don't come with springs ! I used my old springs, been on 2 years now, it's fine !!

If you buy new from a dealer it will come with springs and nuts. Mine was second hand so I just did the nuts up less tightly than I wanted to so there was less tension on the light. Worth saying that slamming the boot closed hard seems to damage the light too.

Hmmm. I am sure I read on here it came with them... But just in case, worth checking with whichever dealer you buy it from and having them order the springs too if I am wrong. Sopers Lincoln (Jamie or Mark in Parts) will give a 10% discount if you mention the forum

How long have you had it fitted for? (Want to get an idea how long they last!
