3rd brake light

Is it a common fault for the pointy ends of the 3rd brake light to brake off?? Any one else have the problem??

Just noticed one end of mine has already broke off and the other side is close to breaking off, if I touch it it will.

Are clear ones available from anywhere??
 
you can get clear ones from Sytner, here in notts for a reasonable price.

I believe it is a sort-of common fault, as they're not exactly strong bits of kit...
 
Yes - as sk93 says a common fault. Smems it can be caused by slamming the boot, flexing of it in use and/or overtight retaining blts (3 on springs)

Clear and red both from dealers at about £50. Clear are actually cheaper, but you might pick up a red on Ebay as people upgrade and change.
 
Happened to mine too - realised before the end fell off though so going to glue it back on for the moment!
