The mods added £150.00 but i am 22 so it might be different if you are older.

Unfortunately the promise of reduced premiums with age are a load of lies - they just bump it up based on another set of risk factors instead :headbang:

i have to disagree with that,i have driven fast sporty cars for years now and year upon year my premiums have always been lower for the next year, true iv'e had to shop around but iv'e always found a lower premium

as for the poor soul who is only trying to sell his car, he seems to have been riped to shreads, the odd comment about putting the car back to stock is helpful but imo nothing else as helped the bloke.

Well, he is claiming to have made 40-50bhp on the say so of a tuner who's provided no proof whatsoever.

I'd expect to be ripped to shreds if I stated my standard car had 380bhp because the dealer said it felt like it had.

horses for courses...

good looking car and if I had the cash, I'd buy it how it is.
good luck with the sale!

the fella can only go on what falcon engineering told him but i do agree that if you do start talking about bhp figures without the backup you maybe heading for for trouble!!

OK everyone i'm taking the car to the rolling road on monday so we will all know by then what power it is producing once and for all, and whether its 350bhp or 390bhp I hope everyone will be happy.

Falcon performance engineering has done all the mods at a very high standard. The car has a 343 bhp engine standard, the exhaust gives the car between 3 and 5 bhp, the intake gives the car between 15 and 20 bhp and the remap gives it between 12 and 17 bhp so overall the bhp is between 373 and 385. In case anyone is wondering where ive got these numbers from they were all provided to me by falcon performance engineering before i had the work done. The extra 30 or 40 bhp really makes a difference. Please let me know what you think.

With the RR data of course

I'd be more than happy to be proved wrong and see 390bhp and would be one of the first to go to Falcon to get the same upgrades.

I just don't want you, or a new owner, to expect an F430 beating supercar on hearsay.

BTW, here's a dyno plot of a Z4M with exhaust, intake and ESS software - probably makes and extra 5bhp at peak (solid red line).
Although further down the plot you'll see a bigger gap between the stock (blue) & stage3 (red) lines - possibly 20bhp.

Also interesting to note, that having the exhaust alone give a huge drop (at 6200rpm) for some reason.

Hello mate, fair play to you, you don't have to do that, especially if you're selling !

Sorry about all this, you're up against defensive owners who would love to gain that sort of HP but have been there in the past. Bear in mind what has been said on another thread, that it probably didn't produce 340bhp before the mods, so anything at all above that figure is reasonable.

My only request is that you come back & tell us after, whether it's good or bad? No one is taking this against you personally, just that your tuner might have sold you up river slightly.

I assume you're not taking it there to be tested?

I had the car put on a dyno today at motorscope northallerton and it came out at 368bhp and 293lbft torque so I have changed the subject topic title I hope people are happy with these results. I would post a picture of the results but i dont know how so if anyone knows that info would be appriciated. thanks

Did they tell you the figures at the wheels before their calculation for flywheel figures, and what RPMs are the peaks at?

That's still a fair good ponies (+25bhp and +28lb/ft) from some simple upgrades - well done

And heres what it sounds like on a dyno. Enjoy.

open an account with photobucket, upload the pics, wrap the link around img tag e.g. http://www.link.com[/img ].

p.s. i don't know about you but i was dying to know the results of your dyno. 368bhp is quite good...

Mate, that sounds double sweet! Good numbers too... one question - how can you sell it?! :o

Okay, a Noble is one thing that would top it... happy hunting!

It was a very hard decision to sell it but i've had it for over 2 years and just decided it was time for a change even though a noble has better numbers nothing will top this car for everyday use combined with performance, that is the beauty of the z4.
