37lbs & 45lbs ... really?

The BMW recommended pressures for 18" Bridgestone run-flats on a 35is are 37 psi (2.6 bar) front and 45 psi (3.1 bar) rear.

These seem a tad high. Does anyone run the Bridgestones on their 35is a little lower?

Run with lower pressure and you'll destroy the inner and outer part of your tyre.

I'd always go with what is recommended.

This is one reason they give such a harsh ride.

Not unusual though. Caravan tyres are usually in the 60's.

Out of interest, what pressures do people who run non-rft use? The same pressures or different?

I have previously had 2.6bar(38PSI) in the rear and 2.4bar(35PSI) in the front. Treadwear seemed very even but MPG was much lower. Grip was excellent though.

Last month I changed closer to the recommended at 3bar(43.5PSI) rear and 2.5bar(36PSI) in the front. MPG went from 27 as a weekly average to 30. Grip is still good, probably marginally lower but hard to tell. I'll keep an eye on treadwear.

Road noise is a little lower and ride seems to be better which seems counter intuitive. Front axle seems happier with the higher pressure so will probably stay at these pressures unless I notice uneven wear.

Goodyear F1, 18 inch I run 38 front and 42 rear. I think I need to drop the rears to 40, bit of wheel slippage today on damp roads.
