35is Rusty so soon?!!?

Was in BMW yesterday & some of the cars in the showroom have the start of rust forming on the calipers already. Notice the newer models have different hubs that look to have almost a galvanised finish. Will paint my calipers & hubs the week I get the new car. Seems ridiculous on a high end car !
 
There was a problem with the new 3 series seat runners were going rusty too because they weren't painted. Even before getting to the owners.

Did you find the product? I want to use the same on the Porsche as after washing, even after blow drying the discs, they seize up when parking without the handbrake on. Can't drive the car dry either with this weather ....
 
Work associate brought his 520d round for us to see-406 miles on it with rust marks running down one rear alloy centre!-FFS! :thumbsdown:

How are you going to get to the rear of the discs?
 
Yeah, they are wood so quite safe.

Your high heels would be a complete different matter though.

Nope, ended up using Fast Etch instead. After cleaning, just wipe over this disks with a cloth sprayed with Fast Etch, leave for about 15 minutes, then rinse off and dry as normal. (link to product)

There is a guy on DW who says they can supply Hyde's Serum, but i haven't asked (see here, post #26). Post is a couple of years old though, so might not still be a supplier.
