Thanks guys, when are you all modding yours?
Still 2 and a bit years of new warranty left so can't do much, funds won't allow either, however if I manage to keep hold of mine my thinking was some M 4 wheels with MPSS rubber, Brembo 6 pot front 4 pot rear BBK, M4 seats, larger intercooler and that's pretty much it, doubt a new diff as I can't drive it hard enough here to get the benefit.
Oh that and nicking all your styling cues....
That's some serious mod list

I do like the M4 wheels too - maybe in a couple of years I'll also get a set
I would love the BBK but I can't see the price/value benefit - it's just so damned expensive. PB Brakes are offering a kit with 8 pot and the ebrake working at the back...but even those, I can't stomach all that money for brakes - I will never track the car.
I think you'd notice the most change for each £ spent with the diff and intercooler though, and fast road pads better brake fluid and braided hoses. All for less than the BBK alone...
The car is all over the place under hard acceleration even with MPSS, and we wear out our rear pads with the crap ediff - the LSD apparently makes the car completely different to drive not just in a straight line (but even still 4~ seconds 0-60, 11~ 1/4 mile, standard 340 bhp, by the way!), but also transforms the handling - you have to relearn how to drive the car! Coupled with H&R springs, MPSS tyres and H&R sway bars you would notice the world of difference and get lots of benefit in the UK with the twisty bends!

The Z4 is very successful in racing in Germany, but they don't use any of the OEM set up.
And apparently a straight swap of the intercooler to the wagner (Evo 2 competition) reduces pressure drop and improves throttle response - no mapping or software needed to benefit from that.
I'm getting a lumpy idle at the moment - next on my list is to take the car back to Autopartes and load software for logging to see if I have a coil pack, injector or HPFP on its way out.
