Interesting lux ! I wasn't going to wrap the front bumper. Just the rear bumper & wing mirrors. But the boy that's does my wrapping thinks I should do both to get it kind of matching. Will see what it looks like,can always be removed.
 
I know this is no good for you as it's for a single sided twin exhaust, but thought you might be interested in how it looks covered in real carbon. The wrapped carbon finish is very matt.

Lux how did you get on removing your grills ? Had a look today,was hoping to just pull them off like my old e86 but doesn't look like it :x

Here you go....

There are 8 clips in total on each grille, 3 on the top, 1 on each side, and 3 at the bottom.
Open the bonnet and removed the 4 bolts on the front air duct, and removed it from the air filter box.
Then put your arm through the gap between the bumper and radiator to get access to the back of the grille (if you have large arms get the wife or a wimp to help with this bit). It's then easy to press the clip with the finger tip to release them. If any clips are a little stiff use a stubby flat head screwdriver to push the clip down.
Once the first one it out you can get to the second grille through the first grill hole (so don't put the new one in just yet!). The new ones just push on easily, then pop the air duct bits back on and you're done.....20 minutes, tops! :thumbsup:
 
That's the grill the other half has got me. I'll keep him away from this thread as I don't want him attacking my car as I'm still not sure I want to muck about with it yet. But I did change the wipers tonight for flexi blades. I still can't get my head round the fact my pervious car had them but this car which was released later has the old style blades. Madness!

Nice :thumbsup: I might get my back end done in black. Better than the grey. Did they wrap the entire mirror including the housing to the door?
 
I do like that a lot. Reminds me of when I had my type r and it had the black inserts front and rear. Great job!

Btw what's with the illegal plate? A BMW badge and a ///M badge :tumbleweed:
