ok, so i popped into the dealer today on the off chance my 35is would be there in preparation for collection next week...... after wandering around the back for a short while, i stumbled across it

i took a few pics with my useless camera and then popped in to see the salesman who said i can collect it on monday night all going well.... my private plate goes on it as soon as i get my retention papers back from the dvla

im feeling a bit sad at losing my alpine white, but the melbourne red metallic aint so bad :)

Looks great

Don't worry about the ding in the door, they're easily fixed with PDR. It'll look as good as new in no time

You are going to have SUCH an awesome day - 20i to 35is, you're going to have to tape your head on to stop the grin splitting it in half :D  :driving:

great looking car just in the process of doing a deal on Valencia with black roof etc 3.5 is m sport .but finding it really hard to part with my m roadster

Must be your lucky day, nice looking Silver Grey ///MC in the background....might not be too late to swap

Ofcourse, I'm only joking, it looks fantastic, would love to own a 35is

cheers guys

i am looking forward to it but im not mega excited for some reason..... i wont be able to collect it on monday so it may have to be left until next weekend or later in the week if i get a chance :)

lol at steven, i may try an m at some point in the future but not just yet

It's weird I know. I am not hugely excited. But there you go. Maybe it's because I love my E89 so much, and I still think the E89 gets more looks than a Boxster does

Looking good. I'm sure once your there to pick it up and start it up and drive it home you'll feel the love a lot more!

If they don't notice the car on looks alone......they notice by the noise. I see people looking and yes almost a where is that sound coming from and trying to see past me look

Looks lovely. Pick it up at the weekend and go the long way back home. I picked up mine and added an additional 75miles not onto the journey by taking some of the back roads home. Grinning the whole way!

Must admit, the pics are cr*p....However, I hummed and haaaad for some considerable time, whether to go for the orange or the red. In the end, I decided that, although I liked the orange, I didn't like the fact that I was restricted to choices for the interior. So, I decided on the red, with walnut interior. If I had a £ for every time I've parked my car, and some one has passed comment on how stunning she looks ,I'd be loaded :D Red rocks :D :D :D :D :D :D

I was at that dealer on Wednesday taking my wife's Z4 in for a rear indicator failure when I saw what must have been yours arrive and be unloaded from the transporter. Don't worry - he was very careful!
It did look very good.

awesome, the sales guy was saying it came in a trailer all by itself..... there werent an other red ones there so it was most likely mine :)

hope you got your indicator sorted

Got me thinking I should maybe have thought about a 35iS......worth a thought.

lol too late, youve put your deposit down on the boxster.... i prefer the looks of the e89 which is why there was nothing else to go for really

yeah im sure i will be grinning once i drive it as the only thing i felt was lacking from my 20i was noise and occasionally power. this one will address those issues and as long as it is as reliable as my 20i, i will have nothing to complain about :)

Looks really nice, you will not need an radio - as you only need to tune into one station 35i - FM :driving:

I have to say in my few days with the 35is I have hardly had the stereo on. It only has a base one anyway with DAB but I have no interest in listening when the exhaust and engine sound as good as they do !!

its the only thing i miss from down shifting from an 335i

i popped into the dealer earlier to sign some more paperwork. it will be ready for collection on friday evening

he did let me have a sit inside and start it up..... i liked the extended leather but it didnt sound too special on start up..... maybe it will sound better when driving

they brought it inside and i must say when its in a darker environment, the red looks a lot nicer.... bring on friday :D
