I do not wish him any harm and hope he makes a full and very speedy recovery but forum members beware if he tries to sell his car again.
Pretty sure if JB tries to sell his car on here again links to his previous for sale threads will be provided by the long standing members

his last for sale thread was equally as dramatic, same car, told everyone he had sold it, he hadn't, then he told everyone he was sorry, he had been using different usernames and forums weren't for him

It's hard to feel sorry for the fella to be honest

And then there was his for sale thread for his older z4 ( went the same way )

http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=71154

After reading the info in these 2 threads I am astonished - I suggest everyone read them fully and especially the second one down :o :o :o
PS - Not sure what sort of deal you had managed to get when you were looking for new but If you weren't getting c £13-14k off the list price I'm pretty sure I could put you in contact with the dealer I got mine from and I'm sure he could sort something agreeable :)

They've still got my old one for sale - pretty good price :)

Very frustrating Japseroony especially after the long phone conversation where I assume the sale was all agreed.

As you say though, Nick has form with this sort of thing.

I don't think he's gone under the surgeons knife to avoid selling his car no matter what previous "form" he has.

With my recent experience of surgery, I can tell you that it was very difficult (for me) to concentrate / focus on anything apart from what might or might not go wrong .

Nick is an odd one for sure...

God knows,he might not even be having an OP and just thought it was a good way of not selling his car again..

Its hard to know whats going on,and nowt would suprise me.

You have to feel a bit sorry for the fella reallly...

It would be a dramatic smoke screen if you're correct :D

He is self employed, his wife lost her job, they have 3 expensive cars between them, he has the chance to sell one and pulls out of the deal, has history of doing similar, sold his last Z4 as it wasnt getting used but buys another.
What the F???
Some of the above may not be exact but a rough guess but thats not the point.
Maybe the £27500 wasnt going to pay off the finance and he would need to stump up the rest that he might not have?
Is he Jonny Essex's dad?

Haha

He's still at it !!!

Wow

I've got to admit I was partly ( mainly lol )responsible for winding him up in his last for sale thread, where he pretended he had sold it so someone, who then turned out to be his wife, and now that looks like a load of lies as well

I was rude in the last thread and for that I apologise, I'm a very good judge of character and people like this really irritate me, I could tell he was lying and attention seeking so said it how it was. Shouldn't have called him a loser tho, reading it back just now I came across as a bit of a tool. I got some hilarious threatening/ I'm gonna kill you blah blah PMs from him that gave me a chuckle, but they also suggested the guy has real issues he needs to deal with

When he returns the moderators need to ban him from the for sale section, that will solve a lot of problems to be honest

Anyway good luck with the z hunt jasperoony

Hi Nick

Sorry to see you have withdrawn you car from sale as I'm really interested in your 35is.

You sold me your concours condition E85 for £8300 (or £8000 I can't remember it was such a long time ago)

Anyway, I managed to sell that for £12k :o which is a great profit and I was thinking that I could make a similar profit on your 35is so when you do decide to sell please PM me

Love Jack

Hi Nick

One other thing, if I am lucky enough to buy you prestige 35is then I'd like to keep all negotiations over the phone / internet.

I didn't like what you did with that iced finger last time. Not my sort of thing if I'm honest.

But hey, anything to sweeten the deal.

Love Jack

Well if nothing else you guys have cheered me up a bit with all this witty banter.

It will be interesting to see if he comes back on to the forum after the, or some of the, truth has come out and seems like I had a lucky escape.

Cheers chaps for the info and hope to see some of you out on the road and hopefully in my new Z4 if I ever decide on a colour and model/engine variant.

I today re-commenced negotiation with the dealer and had a further short drive in the 35is and am off to Leeds tomorrow to have a go in the 35i manual for comparison and then pen to paper once I make up my mind.

Can this whole "episode" in Z4 ownership/for sale/not for sale/etc/etc get ANY more weird??
I'm not trying to offend anyone, have read most of the 3(?) threads, but it's just bizarre to me.... :headbang:
I'm here for the cameraderie, help when I need it hopefully and a bit of craic & good humour.

Well, that does make for slightly worrying reading...

Jasperoony, have you decided to re-pursue a brand new Z4 now then? I must admit to having toyed with that idea myself... Especially when I read of the £10-£12k people are getting off list.

Is going off and getting a new one with a £20k deposit a hideously bad idea?

Edit: Still, shady past or not, I do wish Nick all the best with the operation and his recovery.
