Finally letting it go mate ? - beautiful car and looks to be a bargain for someone - knowing your love of early E85's I reckon it won't be long till your back in the fold with one !

GLWTS

well it has not sold yet, so will just let the piston head advert run the period, if it does not sell then I will remove from sale. As unfortunately for me I have to have a operation to remove some of my thyroid gland as my levels have increased. It looks like the radio active dosage was not strong enough and cant be repeated

so will be off line for a few weeks .. and the sale of the Z4 is least of my priority or concerns now :(

Sorry to hear this, how many iodine dosages have you had? I had two before it worked and they were discussing removal as a last resort.

it is really easy to pay off on the day for a perspective purchaser .. as you can pay online or over the phone, as you get to speak to a human.

What's the done thing in this scenario then, if you don't mind my asking? Does the buyer pay you then you settle with BMW? Or do you inform BMW that the car has changed hands and the buyer settles with them directly?

Basically what happens is .. just say you where going to buy it as a example:

You would come to my house see the car etc fill out all the normal paper work log book slips etc, you then online transfer the money to my account, you can use chaps payment which is quick or if transfering to another account but within he same bank is quick as well ... or cash.

Togther we then phone bmw finance or online and pay them directly via the sellers debit card, as I would have cleared funds from the buyer. Then you drive away with no finance on the car and a print out of the finance settlement.

Or there is a new way now where banks are offering PCP car loans where they pay the seller directly ..

ALso when you meet the seller ask for passport proof of identifcation etc plus you would have the address etc .. you will not have a problem with a honest seller & buyer .. plus you know where the person lives etc. But you can just pay BMW finance on the day via phone, only then would you drive away with the car, this way both the seller and buyer are protected.

regards

When I bought my very first z4 2.5si back in 2008 I did it in this exact same way. We called Bmw finance first, in fact I found and dialled the number and then on loudspeaker the seller gave details and we got the settlement figure. I did bank transfer there and then, he paid off Bmw and got an email saying finance cleared.

Everyone happy.

There is of course a degree of trust required required. If you are really wearery about security, then sit in a bank and do the same thing there but in the comfort of knowing you are in a public place and the whole thing is being filmed :)

Indeed I have, but it looks like they may have arrived too late :(

Somebody will be lucky - and probably very happy.
I think if we hadn't bought the new 335xd in July I might very well have considered changing my zed.

Think I might be the lucky new owner of this fabulous Z4.

Deal agreed and just in the throws of finalising the paperwork etc but all good and hopefully collecting early week comencing 18th Jan.

Well phooey.

Seems I was too slow. Didn't you say in another thread that you'd placed a factory new order?

I did say that but it stumbled at the last minuet due to a slight over sight on the dealers side so after long consultation with her in doors I figured I should save myself £11,000 and buy this one - after all if I had bought a new one it would only be worth £27,500 in 12 months time!!

If it is the colour and spec you want, you have a great deal there. Especially as from the forum posts, the owner(s) are unlikely the rag-whenever-possible type, which is always a great concern when buying second hand.

Great news for both parties

Hello all

Just wanted to get this message to you all as quickly as possible, while at work today my wife received a phone call from the hospital to say that a slot was available for me Monday (tomorrow) for my operation.

So due to this I have decided for the time being to remove my car from sale, obviously at the moment I am very nervous and anxious of the operation, and hope you all can understand this. I hope I have not upset anyone in anyway and know a couple of members will be disappointed ... but my intention was not to waste any ones time etc this is for sure.

I have already contacted Japseroony directly today before updating this thread, we had a really great chat yesterday .. I know he will be disappointed but hope he understands my situation.

Any way signing out wish me luck .. as getting very nervous now, hope you understand, hopefully all going well I will be back in a few weeks .. I will let you know how the operation goes

Sorry again for getting every ones hopes up regarding the Z4, but priorities have changed now and all happening really quickly

signing out .. Nick

First of all good luck with your op.
But secondly, am I being stupid but what has this got to do with you selling your car?
You have been toying with selling it for a while, now you have a buyer and have decided not to sell??

Just poor timing thats all

going under the Knife tommorrow ... plus at this stage not sure of the outcome, so just thought it best to remove from sale while I get through the operation

I was not planning to have a operation but I have no other choice, and today I was told to get ready for operation on Monday, Saturday I was unware of the availability for the operation to happen so quickly .. so would not be arround for some time to complete any car sales etc
