35is first impressions

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to share this with those who might be considering a change up to a E89 in particular the 35is.

I've had mine 10 days now and my initial observations are as follows:-

Performance- unbelievable compared with my old 3.0 E85, relentless pace and the DCT gearbox is great, smooth and easy in normal mode but more aggressive in sport when needed. The push/pull paddles are a little unusual but you soon adapt.

Ride - far superior to my old car which had the sport suspension, this model even in sport mode on run fllats is far more compliant for an old codger like me :)

Build - a few creaks and rattles but not too bad for a 7 year old roadster and far more civilised with the top up than the old girl.

All in all I'm very pleased with the car.

If anyone has any specific questions please ask.

Cheers.

Just one specific question,
Can I borrow it for the weekend :D
Just for market research you understand against my aged roadster

You can change the paddles to later design if you want and have up and down on either side of the steering wheel

I actually liked the up down on both sides, you could use the gears with only one hand on the wheel...

Yeah it's fine, just different to my daily Audi

"...you could use the gears with only one hand on the wheel... ", in the UK....

The American version is:
"Hold my beer, I'm gonna try something... :driving: "
