35iS Dampers required!!!!!

Had the dampers and Eibach springs fitted yesterday. Along with new top mounts all round.
Feels quite a bit better as well as resolving a weeping damper issue. The ride feels a bit better, has more compliance and less crashy and even. Handling is noticeable better, less wobbly and disconnected feeling, less understeer, it now turns in much crisper and instils much more confidence. It always felt like it wanted to wash out at the front, so I was always very slow in quick out on corners. Now I can carry much more speed in and it turns!!!

Next job sort the brake fade out, two corners and it’s going :o

I don't see how a failed damper can cause any problems. If a damper fails it just means your car might not settle as fast after bumps, it won't drive well but certainly not going to cause you to crash.
Oh you will know about it if it fails completely. I had one burst on a mustang I owned. The affected wheel started to bounce uncontrollably because like most wheels it was not 'perfectly' balanced and the inflated rubber tyre also 'bounces' off every little bump. With no damper to absorb/iron out the oscillation it escalated really quickly.
I slammed the brakes on and of course the affected side nosedived onto the bump stop and massive brake pull resulted.
If you lost a rear one on a corner you it could be a total disaster....

Eibach is a huge improvement on anything OEM, plus its always there in case you forget to select 'sport' before the corner. CAr drives a lot 'flatter' in corners and the lowering also helps.
