Looked a bit compressed in that image. Thought it was a Z2 for a moment.

No, the recession white one. Looks pretty well fully loaded with options, it's just a case of test drive to see what it handles like and whether the dealer is flexible on cost to change. I'm hoping they still need to make their December/Q4 number in which case last minute deals will be done

A friend just got another 2k off a fully loaded 520d touring when he waited 2 weeks. Desperate dealer needing to make his quota

The good thing is I'm not in any hurry. If the deals wrong I can wait

I've watched the price of them dropping week by week all over the country so you may be able to cut a good deal with him.
That one's priced well anyway isn't it iirc?
Even if there's no deal done, its a jolly out for a few hours!

It's high mileage, so the price is low, but I've been surprised by how low some of the prices have got. If I do change I need to be realistic that it will depreciate like a brick. The M's and Alpinas are holding steady for cars with average or below mileage and may start to appreciate again. The 3.5iS is not a collectible in any way

Might be talking myself out of this here. Still go and wring its neck for an hour, why not!?!

Stuart at the moment buying a car like that, you have to put the depreciation thing to one side and buy it for what it is and for the enjoyment you are going to get out of it.
If depreciation is an issue then you would have to reign yourself in from buying it.

Personally I wouldn't worry as I would look at it as I'd paid for the time I owned it and enjoyed it but it is an issue for some. I know Starkers isn't happy about it but he's had his enjoyment out of ownership.

Testing it tomorrow. The dealer said it's pissing down up there and while he's happy to let me drive it, I think he was a little worried about test pilots in the wet! :D

Forecast for tomorrow still looks nasty. Any better at your side?

Hopefully test driving one today or tomorrow. Just waiting on the dealer to call me back...

But where would you sell #69 ? On here, or as a trade in ?

Cotswolds. The weather app says its better tomorrow. Today Rain, tomorrow light showers.

Guess ill test it's wipers if not its roof. Also a good check all the seals are intact after some people's issues

It's a cost to change conversation. We'll see what they come up with. If its not what I want, I walk. It's fairly simple. I'm not starstruck over cars any more, I've walked away from cars I've liked before, and can do it again. Not sure I want the hassle of selling on here, too many threads turn into a critique of the ad, the car, what we had for breakfast, M vs Alpina etc etc etc and I don't need that

Quite happy to keep #69, just had inspection II, new rear tyres, wheels refurbed, front spoiler resprayed and a bunch of other stuff. The only pending expenses are MOT due next month, not expecting any surprises there and warranty renewal also which will be about £1k. I'm only really renewing the warranty in case the roof motor goes. The steering column has been replaced and the rear springs were done just before I bought her.

I'd sell the Intravee and KCA and the strut brace that's not yet fitted which would pull a few quid back

If they offer me the car for mine plus 10k I'll probably take it. Much off that and I'll be an Alpina driver for a while yet :)

I know what you mean Stuart. I'd been thinking about that for when I eventually sell mine.
