Thats what I thought too, but there is nothing on the market at the moment there are about 12 cars and this is the second cheapest. I thought 21k might not be a bad deal but he wont deal at 21k even for cash.

This is my first auto, I actually like the push pull on bot sides but I prefer the look of the DCT paddles. Thanks for the info! £200 sounds a lot for paddles tho! :rofl:
 
Hi Tom can't comment on the 35i,only had my 35is. Regarding the adaptive suspension it's a no brainier. My wife hated driving my old e86. But loved the 35is due to the AS, 2 cars in 1 ! Long journeys car is a pleasure to drive in comfort mode. Sports + car imo is a better & more fun than z4m. I'am sure you'll wait for the right car. :thumbsup:

Regarding the paddles, do you know where to isolate the airbag and how long to leave it unplugged before taking it off? 30mins is it?
 
Tom, m sport non adaptive does not change in stiffness. This is what adaptive does. M sport stock is simply a spring and passive damper setup just like the e85/6.

Adaptive adds the normal/sport/sport plus stiffness to dampers.

We are just renting at the moment because we weren't sure where we wanted to be. But currently living in-between Eccles and Monton. Eccles being a complete dump and Monton really lovely. So we go right not left out of the door :D

Managed to get a really lovely little house (rather than a flat) that is tucked out of the way so completely escapes the traffic and bustle which is nice importantly its a locked parking area with electric gates and CCTV. Its a new build, moved in the day it was finished, but the rent is more than a mortgage so want to get out of it really but not sure where to move. The problem is our tenancy runs out on the 24th Dec and neither of us will have finished our probation period by then so it will be after Christmas before we look to buy.

Really great location, couple of minutes from Patricroft station and takes 10 mins on the train to get into Manchester then just off the M60 to get up to Oldham for work as I've just started at the Trinity group who look after 150+ publications like the Mirror MEN L-Echo etc so its pretty good, rough start struggled to find a job but everything seems to be getting into order. Also M60 to the M6 and back up to Cumbria in an hour and a half so ideal really.

So the car is basically a Christmas present to ourselves for the stress of moving finding jobs and a bit for fun for the weekend. Plus I sold my M 2 years ago so serious serious withdrawal!!! :headbang:

Thanks for the clarification Maniac! Takes a bit of time to get your head round all the options compared to the fairly sparse M spec.
 
"Monton Carlo" as its locally known...lol..


M60 is usually ok for commute ,although it does back up in spots at peak times..

Plenty to see and do within 30 mins of where you are..

Does anyone know the website to find out trade/private car valuations? To give me an idea to see how much this car is worth? Been on the phone this morning and he said best he can do is 22 still which I think is bs so would be good to get an idea.

Would the site give you an idea of residual too?

I went back with Tim to negotiate there was no negotiation wouldn't budge on price and we both agreed the car although low miles was nice the issues would annoy me (that couldnt be sorted) and the price was about 1-3k over sticker price so decided to leave it and hopefully a few others will come out of the woodwork. It's been for sale over 6 weeks now so maybe he'll want to deal soon enough.

Although zermatt sent me the numbers registered and only about 50 35is were sold per year after 2012 so about 250 cars total so it might be a difficult search. Even more so than getting a Z4M.

I'm fairly firm on the Z but it has to be the right car. The other option is to buy something a bit cheaper and not worry but I will always think I wish I'd waited. Same with my Z4M coupe always wanted a silver grey with red leather and bought mine after months of searching and always wished I'd waited for the right one.
 
You clearly know what you want and if you're like me a compromise will niggle at you constantly, the right car will turn up at some point, but you know all that.

£1500 extra for the right car, worth it i reckon. JC bought it new, unabused minter.

Not my wallet though of course.
