I know there are not many of us on here but i did my first decent run over the weekend, Hinckley to luton to see the missus.

pottering 20odd miles A roads and town then 50 on the M1, pottering along at 70-80 and i easy managed this.

I think i could have got a couple more MPG if i really tried, not bad for a car with 306 BHP and 400 NM
 
I only get 20 MPG...if it read higher I'd think something was wrong!!!
 
It was over 40MPG on the way there :o Im running V-power just as a side note

The return trip my foot was abit heavy as i needed to get back for its first MOT, quite surprised me! My old 2.5 MK4 Mondeo (same engine as the Focus ST) couldnt get anywhere near that MPG, i think the BEST mpg out of that was 32-33 and i was driving stupid careful to do it
 
Yes this forum has largey a UK member base. I also can reach 40mpg on motorways, knocking around town tho I can rarely get over 25. ESP in Manchester where you sit in traffic or at lights mostly...
 
Did someone say 40mpg???? never seen anything like it, regardless of how I drive or what type of road. I get 24 out of mine, occasionally 26, but more often than not 24. I'm not bothered though you have to accept these things when you place the order. :)
 
Just got back from a trip to london. Drove my 35i total of 1200 miles. Very comfortable, even the wife said so. About 900 miles was motorway driving average speed about 85 with some real bursts of acceleration (couldn't resist, so addictive). The rest of the miles was a combination of country road and town driving. Spent most of the time in sport mode and got a calculated value of 30.3 mpg. Not bad for 306 bhp!!
