35i mpg

Well it’s just handy I used to have an R32 GTR Skyline that drank fuel like it was going out of fashion. But you need to be able to budget right so if I know it’s 16-30mpg then you know.

27 to 28 on my 35i ....however if you want to have fun then sub 15mpg!
What kind of "fun" produces "sub 15mpg"? Fast, sub-70mph acceleration?

I ask, because my 35iS does high speed work every week - up to n+60 or 70 - and still averages 26.4mpg.

So, how do you get it down to 15? :)

The only way I can see the 35i returning 15mpg is by holding the brake pedal and accelerator at the same time.

Low 20s if you are driving really hard or sat in serious congestion, but for most situations the 35i will return between 27 and 29 for me.

Watching this post with keen interest as I’m seriously thinking of changing my 25i for a 3.0 or 3.5i, 25-27 mpg average seems reasonable but low 20s as an average might sway me to a 3.0

The one I’ve bought has only done 10k and from BMW main dealer, full BMW history it’s like new. The white one didn’t come close.

No I didn’t bother since this Atacama Yellow one popped up, price was the same.

Hmmm  its not Msport , its 5 years older & a colour that has very few looking for it  not really a like for like

I love Atacama and I’ve been looking at E89s for around a year now, I’ve seen 2 23i, 1 20i and the 35i I bought it Atacama yellow all sold (expect the 20i) within a week for more than a standard colour. They are a very niche market I agree but people absolutely love it or hate it. It’s spent most of its life sat in a showroom.

Ive recently seen 3 x 35i on the web with very low mileage around 3k a year average with 30k or less for a 2009/10 cars, obviously weekend toys, however it begs the question, what do you 35i owners do mileage wise in a year, are they used just weekends so don't do many miles hence not worried about the low MPG or do some of you do serious miles on them and to hell with the cost.

I ask as I am finding that I use mine alot weekends, 6 months Ive had it ive put 5000 miles on so thinking whether the 35i is my next step or go for a less thirsty 30i. I can afford to run the 35i but thinking whether its worth it, weekend trips yes its worth it, 7000 miles a year , urmmmm not sure
