35i MPG in winter

I usually get around 28 - 29 MPG mixed driving. Since temperatures changed in the last few weeks my MPG dropped to about 25- 26 MPG max.

MPG always was lower in winter, car was not driven anywhere for 5 months.

Now I live somewhere that allows me to drive all year and I really don't track the fuel economy on the MR, it's not good but who cares :D :D :D

My average mph is always lower whilst garaged as well

typo , MPH is now MPG

Q: what the h*ll is "sorn? Is it some type of acronym for pulling the plates off and/or storing the car ?

It’s “statutory off road notification” if you no longer wish to use the car you make a sorn notification & cancel the road tax. If you get caught driving the car in these circumstances the authorities are legally allowed to kill you :)

Never check the MPG in the winter months that way I keep driving it as normal and don't get upset

Just binned mine - can't justify c. 22mpg - £60-70 /week for 10 mile each way commute and local bimbling.

Have you sold up or just sorned it? :?
Rob
Sold up, well p/x anyway.
Just bought a sensible daily which'll do for now and will re-evaluate in the Spring.
Never really gelled with the Z4 TBH. Nice enough, pretty quick, but a bit so-so.
Don't regret it but happy to move on.

Cheers,
