Good news is .... it’s booked
Bad news ..... 25 September
But , this ??? W.T.F. ??? Called insurance , last time they charged me 20quid for declaring painting calipers..... so , how much for a remap I ask .... the girl goes, 12 pound something, I replied, a month on the premium? She goes , no , one off payment???
How the hell does THAT work :tumbleweed:

Which insurance company? About to look for renewal quotes for Sep and Axa don’t cover remapping so checking who does in case I get it done.

Don’t give the insurance another thought Dave if it’s 12 quid, who cares how they work it out at that piddling sum...

If yours goes like Jollyjoiners does after a map and you want the shove you’ll be shocked I think, I was, my stock 35is won’t get anywhere near his, the shove is incredible for such a small tune. The bird in your local fuel station will think you fancy her you’ll be in there so often.... :P And you’ll also get rather friendly with a tyre fitting centre....actually they’ll probably think you fancy them as well....... :yu:

Refarding the whole map / flash dilemma on the twin turbo E89 i have to say i thought my traditional mapped 35i was far more responsive to throttle & felt noticeably faster than the MHD stage 1 i added on my 35is :? manual V DCT i accept will deliver totally different drives but the 35i literally felt electrified with just the lightest touch as opposed to 35is flashed feeling like a fast car once it was given more road to let go

Stage 1+ would be more like the Celtic tune. As I understand it MHD does a lot more than a few simple sensor adjustments, leading to hopefully a smoother more OEM style and reliability.

Just noticed Celtic have a tune for the G29 aswell now, 430bhp!

LV

Thanks.

I was originally with LV back in 2011 when I got my 1st e89 mid policy.

They refused to cover it against theft unless I had a tracker fitted, because it was a convertible!

So I left, but lost a years ncb.

They’ve obviously changed opinion, but it backs up your comments about how do insurance companies work out their premiums etc!

I’m due for the Celtic visit on Wednesday morning, just a quick post to see if you have anything else of interest to add before I get it done, take it it’s still all good and making you grin ? Any feedback would be welcome just to put my mind at rest, thanks mate, have a great weekend

Maybe torque peak Mr Wilks? I run the MHD 2+ now and above 3k its ballistic, bit more of a pussycat below that...

Did you reset throttle adaptations after flashing via MHD?
