I’m getting a strange “surging” feeling on full throttle - more noticeable in 3rd/4th.

Anyone else had similar and if so - a fix? Have changed the plugs and could which were all original, feels slightly better (maybe) but still there.

Manual car 59K miles.

Stock tune?

Stock injectors?

Any fault codes on your BMW specfic fault code reader ?

No codes (using Carly)

Index 12 injectors - not sure if the tune is stock or not.

Quite often when they have MHD remaps theses symptoms appear..

mhd lambda  oscillation

Thanks,

Car is new to me and previous owner has added some mods so quite possible.

It’s going I. For a walnut clean this week, so will see if they can do anything to check the tune. (I don’t have MHD myself to check - have used BM3 previously on F82 M4).

Flash to stock and see if problem remains

As an update, incase anyone else has the same issue - cleaning the intake side has made the idle smoother but surging is still there.

Need to get the map looked at next I think.

Well the inlets were well coked up…so that wouldn’t have helped for sure..but..if it’s still surging then somethings wrong…again a data logger like Protool or MHD would be very useful…ignore my post on lambda oscillation..that issue only appears on very light throttle in steady state
