My 35i went into limp mode today. Check engine light flashed up and idle went very erratic, bouncing by about 500rpm.
About 5 minutes earlier I'd parked a little close to the kerb (perpendicular), and as I pulled away I heard the underside of the bumper catch/scrape. I immediately heard a rattling as I drove down the road, and a plastic hinged flap had flipped down from the undertray. I clipped it back in and all seemed well.
5 minutes later, limp mode, rough idle and codes. I initially though it cracked one of the intercooler pipes or something else at the bottom of the engine, but all seems fine.
I left it for a couple of hours, and it drives fine now (full power) but I still have codes.
