35i in Aberdeen

Hi Folks

New to the Z4 world and indeed BMW's (and straight sixes and autos) for that matter. Got my 35i a couple of weeks ago after buying it from a pal of my dads who had had it for the last 5 years and added 5k miles to take it up to the princely total of 30k. Pretty low for a ten year old car. As you might expect it is in very good condition with the exception of a couple of dings on the front bumper.

I drove from Nottinghamshire to Aberdeen and it performed as a long distance cruiser very well. I even managed to get 35mpg out of it (don't worry that won't last now I am back in Scotland).

The spec is good with the DCT gearbox, iDrive, heated electric leather and front and rear parking sensors being highlights. All in all, I'm very happy.

Here are some photos as we all love to see a few pics.

and driven it to Aberdeen before giving it it's first wash and polish

Will post some non phone photos soon :D

Cheers folks. Look forward to learning all that is good and bad about it. Not totally comfortable with the long service intervals especially with it doing so few miles so will get it serviced in the next few weeks.

So after it's service then what mods you thinking of ??? or will it stay standard ?

It’ll be staying standard for the time being. Plenty enough performance for me. Would be the wheels that I would change first and then an M-sport rear bumper but will see what happens.

Welcome to the forum, I’ve only had my 3.5i about 5 weeks now, absolutely loving it , though part of me is missing the e85 3.0 ( but not too much) , as stated above it’s great knowing the history, think though not bulletproof, it does fill you with more confidence. Good luck and enjoy the coming summer :driving:

Welcome on board. Very nice Zed. Good to know the history. Bought mine off my Dentist.

Hi and welcome.

You've done well finding one with such low mileage too.

I quite like those wheels, but I imagine cleaning them could take some time.

Welcome to Z4 ownership and the forum. Having spent 15 years or so in Aberdeen I know there are some great driving roads around the area. You will have fun. :driving:

Yep. First thing I bought after I collected the car was a decent wheel brush
