35i engine scraping sound

It also says put a screw driver on each device and listen through it like a stethoscope, to check each area....

I would check that something hasn't caught between the inside of a disc and the disc guard.

I have had a similar noise with one of my front discs. Sounds like a slight grinding noise, yet if you lift any wheel in the air it is silent. I think mine is slight corrosion of the disc where the pad sits from being stood a lot, as it goes after a few miles.

I didn't even notice he was moving. You're probably right.

Sounds more like vibration/rattling, wouldn't have to be in/on the engine, a loose clip, fastner or similar vibrating as the rpm climb.
Probably wrong but thats where I'd start looking.
