Hi All,

My work want to buy me a present up to £350 as a thank you. I have to choose something!

Can people give me some ideas of cool gadgets etc?

The best i have come up with is a GoPro camera which i could use skiing/Snowbaording and get a divivng housing for it also.

If anyone has seen something recently that they though was cool, can you let me know.

I want it to be something a bit different, that i wouldnt usually justify spend money on if you know what i mean. Any ideas considered.

Thanks

So that's coke & hookers out then :P

How about some high performance driving training? (i.e. not an experience day, but a proper training day) - although I think it may cost more than £350 for the better/respected ones (Don Palmer, Andy Walsh, etc.)

The GoPro (especially the new GoPro Hero 2) is a good choice though. Don't forget to ask for the wi-fi BacPac too, as you'll soon be able to transmit the video to your iOS/Android smartphone for playback.

nice problem to have & obviously great place to work :)

my last 2 luxury purchases i made but didn't need under £350 were
1) a Roth system http://www.rothaudio.co.uk/docs/products_09/ALFiE.shtml
2) a border terrier http://www.btcco.net/pb/wp_b4c00dac.html

You must know some cheap hookers

You can get a gopro and either the wifi option or the add on screen within that budget. Some great deals on amazon

Cool, thanks for that. I will have a look into it then. Seems the best choice i think

Quick heads up on these, I just ordered the wifi bacpac for mine and got it from Amazon as I too had some more vouchers from work. Otherwise I would have ordered it from proaviationshop who were cheaper.

They are selling the GoPro2 with a free memory card and free 3yr warranty for £279, the wifi bacpac for £89 and there is also a bundle of the camera, lcd bacpac and memory card for £349!

Remember to ask them for the remaining £1 in change :)

I have no connection with them, was just looking online for one for me!

Of course, if you get the GoPro we'll all be expecting to see lots of zed-related clips from you... :driving:

Just to drive it would be a bonus. I got it then had to go offshore to work. Its been sitting waititng for me...

Yeah would be good to mount it

Be careful about buying the wi-fi bacpac yet, as it advertises the ability to stream to your smartphone through a GoPro app, but the app isn't yet available, so all the wi-fi bacpac will let you do is remote control the GoPro.

I know, but I have vouchers burning a hole in my pocket. For now I've got the LCD backpack too. I'll probably sell that once the wifi app is out and working properly.

dam i was going to suggest a taxi ride.

Am I the only one who will promote the idea of coke and hookers! Although if you want to stiffen up the experience you can get Viagra! :poke:
