340i touring

Seeing as my missus has removed the slc keys from my grasp I've inherited this , and after spending to much time on this website I found myself washing and actually polishing it this afternoon as you lot made me feel guilty with your tales of car cleaning :D image.jpg

I looked at these briefly as an alternative to the M135i / M140i. I loved the idea of the extra size over the 1 series ... they sound great :)

Awesome car!

Surely one of the best all round cars that.

It does everything I need , It returns 33mpg average in real world use , I zeroed the trip thing setting off from Germany and sat on the motorways down to France and it was reading 36mpg fully loaded sitting at 80 - 90 mph after 5 hours !
Oyster leather probably wasn't the clever choice of interior colour as I'm a builder :D

Great looking car with great engine. Not too keen on your photographic skills :poke:

Lovely car OP - that must be a fun estate.

Oyster sounds good, and it should be OK - just don't use it for work!

I'm rubbish with tech , luckily I managed to get the ladder and scaffold boards in , unfortunately it's only a matter of time before they both end up on top of the car on a roof rack as I've sold my pick up

Our other car is the 335xd albeit the saloon - It makes chuckle when I hear  Diesel
I would willingly have that engine in the Z4

On reflection if i bought the 335 today it would be the Touring.

I have viewed the touring with much more admiring eyes after finding out I will be a dad. I am hoping to find one to suite my needs and budget soon. Nothing as nice as this its a cracker

Nice car! Some incredible bargains available on them atm, broadspeed has them listed at £32k new.

I got a quote off broad speed and BMW matched it give or take a few quid , they are probably cheaper now than they were last year when I bought it :headbang:

Nice - sounds like you got a decent deal then :) Prices will always fall, can't hang around waiting for the bottom forever else we'd all have end-of-the-model cars :D

Never a truer word said , life's to short to hang on for the best ever deal , I was happy with what I got and it's done 12000 miles since I bought it , including a cross Europe trip where it was very comfortable , proved to be an effective overtaking device , sensible on fuel and it gets the nod from those in the know , 2 French guys told me it was " magnifique " when I was sat in the traffic beside them .

It's an M3 botherer that will do 50 mpg if you're on a motorway run and it doesn't sound bad either!
I makes me chuckle when I hear the "oh dirty clanky old Diesel " brigade waffle on.
BMW could have done an Audi and put the motor into a Z4 -more eco than a 2.0 and performance akin to a 35is win win in my book!

Maybe, but it won't do 50 mpg if you try to bother M3s! (And over 80,000 miles my 123d couldn't average 50 mpg, but a bit of exaggeration never hurts does it)!

Thankfully BMW didn't do an Audi (or Benz SLK) and stuff a dieseasal into a Z4!

Diesels may be fine for pounding the motorways, but after nearly a decade of BMW Turbo diesels and business miles I bought my first Z4 - no diesel is ever going to sound like a 3 litre N/A straight 6 petrol engine, or drive like one! That is what makes a Z4 special as far as I am concerned. (And mine did feel like clanky tractors)!

Still you never know ronk, they may make a diesel Z5 but I won't ever want one!
