340 miles today

A lovely relaxed 340 mile 'cruise' from Plymouth to Hull, roof off for the last 88 miles.
Six whining gently, happy and content guzzling its Tesco Super Unleaded, or should I say 'sipping', I got 39.7 mpg over the trip and that included a few somewhat zippy service station exits, as you do....

Car is a 23i, just turned 82k miles, quiet as a mouse, smooth as a nut and solid as a rock.

I did most of 58 miles at a steady n+60 on a good road early on Sunday morning with a passenger but no luggage and the mpg display slipped from 25.4 to 25.2. Either it's sticking, or the 35is's consumption is good at some speed.

I did a couple of hundred miles from Isle of White back to Norwich in my 35i and got 34.2 mpg so was pleased with that, I wasn't hanging about either.

Whilst driving around the Island I managed 27 mpg so pretty impressive overall for such a powerful engine, its same as or slightly better then my Honda S2000 was

This isn't entirely relevant to the thread, but ... I've just come back from a holiday in Norfolk that included several visits to Norwich. What a good city. And the 35i ain't bad, either.

400 miles yesterday, motorway and pot holed a roads. Average mpg about 42.

You and me both I don't care what they say, 12mpg is a good number, very underrated
