What a joke - just heard the Government have just been fined £33 million for not publically tendering the emergency ferry service.

I’d be sacked & be totally unemployable for such blatant disregard of the law & such a huge screw up in my field.

.. and some are trusting these Muppets to negotiate better Brexit deals

WTF!!!!!!

oh come one - they tendered it to a bloke with no ships - that wasnt a fix was it.. noooo nobody got rich there did they.. anyway.. what could go wrong ??

thats the thing.. its the govenment, not a person - so dont give a rats arse and feel no pain, as you say, heads would roll in the real world. if a person was made RESPONSIBLE..

Chris Grayling should be in prison, he has a history of feck ups that's cost the tax payer, you can bet he made millions with the backhanders he's received and still May sticks by him. Tellls you all you need to know about the parasites running the country.

Accountability... the moral of the expenses scandal all over again.

How it’s acceptable for Government officials to break the law escapes me, since there’s a witch hunt when the likes of us do the same...

He first paid £800,000 to consultants to advise on the ferry deal. Money well spent.

it's like tossing money into the wind. It happens everyday. Some might say there is corruption :silence: but I am not suggesting this

Spot on

I just finished a 4 year fight with a government agency. It is a ridiculous story that would take far long to explain on here but involved the DVLA and their medical department for professional drivers, known as the DMG.
The easiest way to explain it would be via a PHSO Ombudsman report back in 2016 titled, Driven to Despair.

They stole my career and my life for that 4 years and nigh on financially and mentally ruined me, at times pushing me into some pretty dark places. I know that sounds a bit intense and I would understand that, but I'm just being brutally honest. It was a government agency at its worst and they have been exposed for it, but nothing will change, despite their very false promises of how they are working on rectifying their faults.

The battle with the DVLA really opened my eyes to what a fucked up system we now have in this country and just how corrupt things really are, (in my opinion) jobs for the boys, brown envelopes and all that.....

13 years fighting the CSA, 2 tribunials & their defeat after the judge ruled on a finer point of law... my short spell of unemployment after 30 years to find almost zero help.... understand perfectly your frustration with the system.

Concluded M therapy is my necessary medical solution...
