I picked up a set of 326’s over the Xmas period and run my car on them for a short time. I removed them yesterday to send them away for a refurb and noticed slight rubbing had happened on my front plastics just behind the bumper. Is this common. I think mine has been lowered slightly before I bought it. Thinking I may need to fit a 225/30/19 or a 215/35/19 to fix this. Anyone had any problem like this?

I currently have a set on my E86 (stock springs not lowered) even though 8j front & 225 35 19 tyres i get a slightly rub on full lock just on drivers side . The et 29 is the killer here , most likely a 215 35 would cure it , i wouldn't go 225 30 myself but that would also do the job

So do you believe standard springs would solve the problem? Do you have a picture of your motor from the side to see the gap?
Obviously a return to stock springs would help your chaffing 
a few weeks on with mine ive worked out the front drivers rubs only very slight when on full lock & reversing onto my drive which throws all the cars weight onto the right side , can't recall any rub at all in normal driving or out enjoying the open roads
