Long shot I know but need one rear wheel as current wheel cracked. E89 2012 20i.
Happy to look at a set if that’s all anyone has.
Based Shropshire but happy to pay transport. Thanks in advance.

Managing expectations..rears crack more often than fronts..you see some folks running fronts on the rears cause of this..if you buy a set make sure they haven't been welded, they tend to recrack along the weld line..

Exactly what has happened on the rear. Worst crack is by a weld done 2 years ago and there are 4 other hairline cracks now too. Wheel is going to the great knacker yard in the sky. Think I might have to invest in a new set of alloys. :x

Best I've seen is one with 12 cracks /rewelded..lots of other options but folks seem to love 326Ms

There is currently a fair looking rear wheel listed on eBay for circa £380 if you haven't seen it already - don't know if it's going to be to your liking or within your budget. This is a rarity in itself as is amongst the usual mass selection of cracked ones of which I have absolutely no idea why anyone considers them saleable!

Probably worth checking the condition of your other rear (fronts are always fine) as don't want to be investing too much and have that one give up the ghost shortly as well. That's on the basis that you can also get a fair set of aftermarket ones at a reasonable cost. Also don't know if you are still on run flats but the rigid sidewalls are seen as a big factor in the issue.

Thinking about this, even if I source a rear, I have to hope that all the other three on the car are not cracked. Otherwise it could turn out more expensive. Maybe an aftermarket set is the way to go? At least I will know they are all good to begin with.

Knowing how prone rear 326s seem to be to cracking I think different wheels might be a better option.

And if your other rear hasn't cracked or been repaired you ought to be able to sell it on here pretty easily!

So I’ve ordered and just received a set of ATOMIC CSL for the Z4 Total £730 shipped from BM Autosport. Getting them fitted Monday for another £130 for mobile to come out. I’ll post pics when they’re done.

Sometimes these forum topics move too fast for me!!! Just window shopping the ‘for sale’ pages and found this thread… I have a spare 326 alloy with a healthy Bridgestone RFT on it. I believe it’s had two welds and I kept it as my emergency spare. It’s in good order. Can provide pics.

As B21 states, there’s many horror stories on here about cracks; I’ve had my fair share. Seems to be fixed now (not had any more) since binning the RFTs at great expense. That said, the 19” 326s are a great looking wheel IMO so I’ve stuck with them and similarly had to shop around to find replacements (hence holding on to one).

If you want mine, would be happy to help you out for £100 plus postal costs (obvs free to collect). People have always been very fair and helpful to me on here so paying it forward 🙏

PM me for pics and details etc. that said looks like you’ve gone all in with a replacement set (for about the cost of ONE OE 326 from BMW!! )

Hi Jenniferlouise. Thanks for the offer but as you say I’ve gone all in and have new alloys and tyres. Fingers crossed that fixes things.
Thanks again for the offer.

No problem. I’ll hold on to it… these asks come up occasionally… someone will need it at some point (hopefully not me!!)
