30 day rentals

I'm in Denamrk again this weekend visiting family, and my cousin has a Nissan Qashqai....and he has it as a 30 day rental, rolling contract, to include all insurance, breakdown etc etc...with Sixt

It's brand new, and here's the good bit ..only £350 for a month, a little over £10 a day....he can either keep it month by month, or give it back and get something else....

Why don't we do things like that in the UK?

Especially for gadget guys like you, you know buy an iPhone/iPad and 2 weeks later sell it...... so you rent a different car every few months

We do. It's called leasing

I know it's not the same as you are tied in for a much longer period.

Since I'm selling all my cars at the moment I looked at hiring for a month until I sort something permanent. The cost was ridiculous.

Had an email from Hertz offering me just that...a 28 day rolling contract. WOW the figures are eye watering. A 2.0 ltr Galaxy was over a grand a month + vat yet a c class merc (basic) was around 6 - 700 + vat. I cant find the email right now but those were roughly the figures. Seems expensive to me!
