Not had better than 26.5mpg from the computer since I've bought mine. Haven't calculated it manually though.
Regarding fuel types, seem to remember the manual saying you should fill with 97ron. I always use super unleaded with performance cars unless in an emergency ie I chicken out of playing fuel light bingo
