3 Fuel Pumps????????

OK, How many is TOO many?? I have had fuel pump problems since I purchased my 05 Z4 (new) as many of you know, once again, the fuel pump is making loud rumble noise in rear. This will be my 3rd fuel pump. What the heck is wrong with BMW? They know this is & has been a problem since the recall in 2003? I read on here that if your car stalls because of the pump, your car won't start back up for 10 to 15 minutes. I hope this isn't true. You pay a small fortune on a car that is supposed to have a good reputation.
 
Sounds odd for so many failures to occur. Perhaps there is another design flaw (or problem on your car) causing the pump to overwork. For example a blocked filter in the tank, a kinked pipe causing the pump to work extra hard to get the requested fuel down the line?
 
Just had a complete syphon pump & all the workd put on in December, only put 400 miles on since then. Can't drive it here in the winter, so it sits. I'm just fed up with this car, & deffinatly can't & won't buy another one. My first Z I had no problems with. Then when you take the car to the dealership, they don't give you a Z as a loaner.
 
Thay said they checked the hoses & everything else. Replaced everything 2 times already. I use the best gas.

I guess I'm the lucky owner of a z-lemon & have about had it with BMW. :fuelfire:
