Can anyone recommend a 3" car polishing machine, looking for a cheap one that will do the job,I am not after a profesional bit of kit just an easy to use decent one for an amateur.
Any links would be appreciated.

I bought a cheap one off Amazon- about £90 a few years ago and it’s been good. Will try and find the link for you

www.in2detailing.co.uk is worthy of a look swanny. the forensic detailing guy on youtube seems to rate him quite highly. Unfortunately, I can't offer any advice on which one is good but he does recommend the in2detailing machine. I hope it helps

I’ve got the SPTA nano battery powered polisher and it’s great. Is the machine you’ve ordered a DA? Looks like it might be a rotary from the screenshot

True blue is yours a Da?

Yes, it can be da or rotary.

but the battery powered one isn’t up to the job of big panels. It’s brilliant for bumpers, door shuts, windscreen pillars, head lights that sort of thing. It’s not going to work for bonnets, doors, bigger panels… it’ll run out of steam and the batteries will flatten too quickly.

What do you want to use it for?

Every panel but doesnt have to be in one hit,the cars paint isnt bad for 19 years just wanted to have a bash at machine polishing
I would start with the small less noticeable panels first,ie door shuts.

The SPTA nano isn’t the machine for this.

You definitely want a dedicated 3’’ machine or bigger. Ideally a machine that can run 5.25’’ pads and 3’’ pads (2 backing plates). I polished for years with only a low cost das6 pro and 5.25’’ pads. It’s only in the last few years I’ve had more than one polishing machine.

I think this is the SPTA 3’’ Dual action machine… reasonably well reviewed..

I pondered between that one and the one i have purchased,i thought they were the same machines but with different kit,i did say i was an amateur

You could try Ali express? www.Aliexpress.com. Stuff mostly comes from China but pretty much all the budget machines are made there. Posting will take a while and you need to factor in uk vat at 20%
