My new car is now at the dealer, should be collecting this weekend. I have read a lot in press saying that chassis can't take the power - any tips ?
This is my first z4, previously owned 318, 325 , 535d touring and currently have x5 35d
Tx

first Ive heard about the chassis not being able to take the power :?

welcome along, and you have a long week waiting :o

Lucky you

What's the spec? Wouldn't worry about the power, the X5 35d is pretty nice but the Z4 will make it seem like the X5 had the handbrake stuck on.

Yes the Z4 will feel like a rocket powered roller-skate, some change but IMHO a right one, happy motoring.

Mate, a lot of these so-called press reports that a car "can`t handle the power", "can`t cope through the bends", etc....is all relative to how you`re going to drive it.

Yes, okay, if you`re a track-goer, on a regular basis, and interested in shaving off 0.1 second off your lap times (and there`s nothing wrong with that if you are... ), then yes, some of these reports are relevant, but for most of us living in the real world, and driving on real roads, these cars are more than capable of handling anything we throw at them - as long as you don`t wish to push the findings of a certain Mr Newton too far.....

Look forward to it coming mate; and enjoy it, as I`m sure you will ! 8)

Hi Resh, welcome

lovely spec - U will not regret it :happyclap: :happyclap:

One thing, you might have to occasionally slow down to see all the :titshake: you'll get shaked at you in that wicked machine, they do love the blue and white :D
