Im looking for some help or advice. I've got a 2006 z4 3.0si. Driving at 20mph last night and the car just stopped suddenly. I tryed restarting it but its would not start. Left it for a couple of mins and tryed again it finally started but took a long time to start and it's not running right and no power steering and all these lights on the dash. I thought dead battery maybe so I took the battery to halfords for testing but it was all good. So now I haven't got a clue any help would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Needs plugging in and codes reading.
Could be a cam or crank sensor but also could be lots of other things

I plugged it up to a code reader. Come back with a few codes. I think its the camshaft sensor

Since the car either stalled out or basically just turning off and failed to restart for a time and when it did restart, it now had a number of warning lights on the dash, I'd start with changing out the ignition switch. These are nether costly or difficult to change out. A failing ignition switch can cause the car to turn off while driving and can cause the car to be difficult to restart. They can also cause wild electrical issues.

Hope this corrects your problem because it is actually an easy fix
