Hello all,
I'm lining up a new T304 stainless cat back exhaust from AA silencers in Stafford with twin outlets like the "M". The exhaust will be made from 50mm (2") tubing with a balancer box in the middle and then two rear silencers with twin staggered pipes either side. This will give good flow and torque (larger dia tubing would drop the torque figure) and a sensible noise level - thought to be similar to stock but with a bit more to it when the right foot is employed and have outlets on BOTH sides 8)
Now moving onto the rear bumper, will need to "butcher" the plastic for the new right hand exhaust exit. It will not match the original left hand side as this is formed and styled by the beautiful people at BMW. QUESTION, I'm sure this mod has been done by others so how does it look? There is an argument for doing both sides the same, meaning the left hand side is also cut a tad bigger than it is now and then matching the right hand side to this - both sides will then match.
Keen to avoid the butchered look and one side being noticeably different from the other. The focus will be the twin pipes either sides but what's the best plan for the bumper?
Any photos of mod would be appreciated....
