Had my 2006 3.0si roadster in for MOT last week and passed but needs new rear discs and pads soon - on 97k miles. The handbrake is also weak and it's not the teeth issue on the ratchet mechanism as they hold well and aren't rounded off. So my mechanic has recommended new handbrake shoes, springs and cable. He tried to adjust them previously but still struggles on a slope.
Can anyone recommend a rear brake pad and disc combination please and the same for a brand of handbrake kits -
- autodoc has brake discs at 60% off at the moment!
- would prefer a coated disc to minimise corroded appearance and I won't be doing more than fast road in her and not planning any track days
- are Meyle handbrake kits any good and do I need to change the adjusters too?
- should I just go for one manufacturer for it all eg, Brembo
