3.0si or Z4m Roadster

Well it sounds like you are enjoying your latest Z4, which is all that matters.

Maybe an M next time!

After a week of ownership I'm loving the 2.5i and surprisingly not wanting for more power, not sure if it's the Stainless Exhaust but I get a smile on my face going through the gears glance down and I'm not even at the speed limit and just enjoying the drive. So much so I've done over 250 miles this week and considering using the Z4 as my daily rather than the 430d as it's so much more fun/involving to drive, even with the top up in the rain.

That said, after all the great comments on this thread I've now got it in my head I want a Z4 M Roadster as a daily (well majority daily) not so much for the power but for the soundtrack and even more exclusivity. I drove a E46 M3 when they first came out and will always remember the metallic sound which reminded me of touring cars of the time, and I believe it's the same engine in the Z4M Roadster.

I had so much trouble finding a z4 that ticked all the boxes that i'm worried I will really struggle finding a low mileage, good serviced Z4 MR. I've had the 2.5i into my local garage for a health check and they were really impressed how well the car has been kept and it's condition, especially underneath, which means I'm loathed to sell it but trying to justify keeping two Z4s could be a bit tricky.

That looks like a really shiny after-market exhaust, which might add something to the smiling face factor!

And if you aren't wanting more power you might as well just keep it - at least until you do want more.

You're right, the MR uses the same S54 engine as the E46 M3 and they certainly do sound fantastic, but running costs for an M would be on a different level to your current car.
