3.0si midbox removal

Has anyone done this? Worked a treat on my old E46 and wasn’t too droney, just added a nice bit of extra bass, so just wondering what the result from this would be, with the rest of the exhaust as BMW intended.

Look at page 5 of my thread. I have a res delete with a backbox mod, sounds glorious and no drone.

Yep I did this on my old e86 si. Great mod, bit more rasp, bit mods volume and no boom at all!

I'd be keen to know a bit more about the tips size etc as well, Lucas if you get a chance to let us know

So today removed the front resonator, still sounds the same to me? Put two pipes in, all tickety boo. So guess the next step is open up the rear silencer. Whats that small box just before the diff? OK see it referred to a centre muffler do we cut this out too?

I've always thought it was a second resonator... If it is like this, I'd open this resonator too before modding the back box
