Hasn't had a service in 3 or 4 years. Zero. No oil even. Nothing. No cruise. No xenons. Older silver top 2006 model. Overpriced at 10k. Roof motor not moved. Barely driven. Often indicating issues in my personal experience. Shame. Suspension riding awfully higher than expected, even if some images are on a hill. I'd expect it to look lower.
I'd rather a frequently driven enthusiast owned, tidy, regular serviced and cherished example at that price point.
I'll hold out for another one I think.

One thing I will say is the thing about ride height and the hill... we have three cars and a very steep drive... the cheapo Ford and cheapo Mitsubishi are fine parking on the hill, but the E86 doesn't like it at all and it does weird things to the ride height as it sits there. I'd assume that issue is the hill not the car (and I might advise you not to buy a Z4 if you have to park it on a hill!)
But you have plenty of good other reasons so just telling you FYI, not to change your mind!

Your budget should get you one with the sort of mileage you want too, although having had one black-top N52 and 3 Silver-top ones I wouldn't rule out the Silver-top if everything else is right. My first E86 had a Black-top and my 2nd had a Silver-top but there was no difference in terms of how they performed, and my current Silver-top is in a 125K mile 330i that still performs just fine.
Good luck finding the right one while it's still Summer.

Not to try and persuade you otherwise, but I’ve test driven a lot of these now in both black and silver top, coupe and now roadster.
Higher mileage examples aren’t only just cheaper, but unless you’re looking to hold it forever and make (minimal) profit, the higher mileage examples tick your boxes i.e driven, maintained and likely had easier lifes on motorways rather than being hooned a couple times every summer on weekends.
They also tend to feel a bit smoother, just do all the checks you clearly have done with the one listed you highlighted the issues on but these engines do the miles well. I’ve had 5 BMWs and all over 100k, and all have been extremely reliable but I usually do a lot of checks prior to buying.
There’s nothing more heartbreaking than buying a low mileage garage queen, driving it ‘properly’ once and it not knowing what’s hit it.
Either way, best of luck finding what you’re looking for, I’m over the moon with my manual 3.0 roadster, but I do also miss the auto coupe more often than I’d like to admit and would probably go back to an auto as it’s my daily and city traffic gets boring very quickly…

i will consider slightly higher but only within reason. Unfortunately the resale value nosedives and ease of moving on (if i need to) is far more challenging with a high mileage example. Far harder. Also all the steering and other components are knackered up near and over 100k in my experience. I drive my cars literally like i stole them. When safe to do so of course. When on the limit any little handling and suspension issue is extremely obvious.

I can see why you think that, but the OP was also asking about Alpina Roadsters… my guess is, after considering all options, he’s trying to hit the sweet spot of price/performance/maintenance costs/ease of resale. Which the 3.0Si is.
I wouldn’t swap my Alpina for an Si, but the 3.0Si is a very good place to be.
lol. Reselling max price z4s at above or max of potential market rate must be the stupidest business model detective. If you notice im always prepared to pay max market rate and even slightly over if necessary. Im not getting into another legendary Z4forum beef however

So none of the ones on AT are any good for your very specific requirements? Loads of lower miles examples.
