3.0si folding mirrors

Hi all,
I've owned my 3.0si roadster since August, it has power folding mirrors which are activated from the switch on the drivers door. As far as I'm aware, this is the only way to get them to fold.

Twice now however I have returned to the car to find them in a folded position and they definitely weren't when I locked the car.

Am I missing something?

Are they operated with a keyfob combination that I'm not aware of?

I know I've caught the button with my knee a few times, you could have done that without noticing.

If that was the case it would be obvious as the switch would be in the wrong position.

It is possible that a 3rd part module has been added to perform this operation. What happened when you unlocked the car?

No it wouldn't. It's a button not a switch to be moved etc
Just takes a light press of it

Hi guys,
No definitely not caught the button as the mirrors were not folded when I locked and left the car.

I almost wondered if it has a proximity sensor or the like because the only times it has done it I was parked closer than I would normally to other cars.

I've tried various keyfob combinations and they don't move, that's why I'm stumped.
???

I'm with you - this definitely happens to me every now and then. I think I started a post on it here a while ago. When the car was new I asked the stealer if they could program it to the alarm and they said know (never been convinced....)

Maybe someone pushed them in?

I looked into finding a way to get mine to auto fold on locking/ unlocking... even with the intravee... and it seems unlike the E46 the Z4 has no mirror memory module.. so this isnt possible.
