3.0Si driving at 1.5 degrees tonight

Had to go out tonight temp showing 1.5 degrees the car felt so eager as if the sport button was already on. Makes me think a better air intake system would definitely benefit my car but nearly £500 for a AFE air intake system and £840 for a GruppeM air ram intake seems a bit steep I already have a K&N panel filter any body else done any intake mods.

My car came with an RPI scoop and a BMC race filter fitted when I bought it - adds to the drama, not sure if there's any performance improvement as I've not driven it without. Cold air = much better though. Only problem is that these cold mornings also mean the engine takes longer to get up to temp :x

It was -1.5 when I left the house this morning, and my car saw snow for the very first time - it was like an excited puppy :D

Cold air is denser therefore more O2 into the engine - bigger bang!

All this talk about 'cold air"
I'm wondering if you Brits get reminded to be careful of "black ice" when the temp hits 3 degrees Celsius ?
My Zed beeps and flashes the 3 degrees on my speedometer.
I'm curious if this is just a Canadian thing Eh ?

We get that warning on US models as well...

It's the most annoying thing about my car. It's always bleeping! It's almost as frequent as the no seat belt bong :headbang:

Yeah same happens on z4's over here, but it doesn't bother us much as we know how to drive 8)

Well Yaaah ... :poke:
Try driving
On the wrong side of the road .
And through 2 feet of snow !
I got a tax break from the Municipal Government when they saw my M Bumper.
I told them the 'fangs' were designed to clear the trail

You get temps below freezing over there ?

Hey This one's #700 !

Drove mine in the cold for the first time last weekend and the beep for 3degrees was so loud i nearly jumped out of my seat. I was like jesus whats happened

But the good thing about the 3 degree warning is that it just tells you once. Thereafter there's no illuminated nanny light constantly reminding you that it's cold.

I hate that bloody beep, at least newer cars you get a different beep for seat belt, faults or weather... the beep in our Zeds is the same beep no matter what so every time it goes off I panic!

It is nice to know I am not the only one who is a "jumper"
